In the village Berkel Enschot, a suburb of Tilburg, the urban master plan with the architectural restrictions was referring to an old village like atmosphere with nostalgia.

We designed a house for a young family with children. We used the restriction of the sloped roof (very common in Dutch urban plans), to reduce the shape to its most elemental shape without detailed overhangs. Together with the composition of window placement a redefinition of Dutch tradition architectural language is made to contemporary.
